1. Verify before relying
LEMIO hosts user-provided information and cannot verify every listing. Ask reasonable questions, compare profile and listing details, and request appropriate evidence without collecting unnecessary personal data.
2. Protect contact and payment information
Use LEMIO messaging for initial contact. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, bank credentials or identity-document copies. Be cautious about urgent requests, unusual links, advance payments, overpayments and requests to move immediately to an unknown service.
LEMIO does not currently hold user funds or guarantee payments between users.
3. Meetings
Choose a safe and appropriate location, tell another person about the meeting, and do not attend alone where circumstances create risk. A private home address should not be posted publicly.
4. Animal welfare
Consider the animal’s health, temperament, identification, living conditions and lawful transfer requirements. For adoption or sale, both sides should use a written agreement appropriate to their situation and keep relevant veterinary and identification records. Obtain professional veterinary or legal advice when needed.
5. Lost and found animals
Prioritize immediate welfare. Contact a veterinarian, shelter or competent authority where appropriate. Verify ownership using information not fully disclosed in the public listing.
6. Organizations and services
Check the organization or provider independently where the decision is important. A profile or listing on LEMIO is not an endorsement, licence verification or professional guarantee.
7. Reporting
Report suspicious listings, messages or accounts to info@lemio.ee and include the relevant URL or identifier. For immediate danger, suspected crime or urgent animal-welfare concerns, contact the competent authority rather than waiting for LEMIO support.
