1. Scope and operator
These terms govern participation in the LEMIO charity program operated by Express Buy OÜ, registry code 12907550, Paasiku 4, Tallinn, Estonia. They explain how contributions are recorded, how eligible shelters and organizations may request assistance, and when assistance is treated as paid.
2. Sources of the charity fund
LEMIO allocates to the charity program the percentage of actually paid subscription revenue specified in the current Charity settings. The applicable percentage may change prospectively. A contribution is recorded only after the corresponding payment has been successfully received; a cancelled or failed payment does not create a contribution.
Users may also make voluntary donations. Voluntary donations are recorded separately from subscription contributions and enter the common LEMIO charity fund. Unless LEMIO expressly offers a lawful purpose-specific option, a donation does not give the donor a right to select the final recipient or direct the distribution decision.
3. Eligible recipients and applications
Funds may be distributed among shelters and other organizations that meet the current eligibility and verification requirements of LEMIO. An eligible shelter may submit an application describing the requested amount, purpose, urgency, estimated total cost and supporting information.
Submission or approval of an application does not create an unconditional right to payment and does not mean that payment will occur automatically. LEMIO may approve all or part of the requested amount, place an approved application in a funding queue, request clarification, reject it, or postpone a funding decision according to available funds and the program rules.
4. Funding decisions and payments
Assistance may be paid in one or several parts. An approved application may therefore be partially funded. Only a transfer to a shelter that has been registered as completed in LEMIO’s financial records is treated as an actual payment. Approval, placement in a funding queue, a public announcement or an internal decision alone is not a payment.
Distribution decisions take account of available funds, the approved amount, applicable allocation limits, urgency and information supplied by the applicant. They do not guarantee equal or recurring support to every eligible organization.
5. Refunds and corrections
Refunds, payment reversals and justified accounting corrections are recorded as separate operations. They may increase or reduce the amount available for later distribution but do not erase the history of financial operations that have already been registered.
6. Documents and reporting
LEMIO may request documents supporting the application, the stated costs, the recipient’s eligibility and the use of assistance. A recipient may be required to provide a report, expenditure information and supporting evidence after receiving funds. Failure to provide reasonably requested information may affect further consideration or future eligibility, without altering a completed payment retroactively except where required by law.
7. Transparency and privacy
Public charity statistics are compiled from LEMIO’s registered charity financial operations. Public information may include aggregate amounts, recipient organization, approved purpose, payment date and a recipient report where publication is permitted.
Donor identities, email addresses, payment or order references, bank details, private supporting documents and internal review materials are not published. Personal data is processed under the LEMIO Privacy Policy and applicable law.
8. Changes and suspension
LEMIO may prospectively change the program, its contribution percentage, eligibility rules or allocation settings, or temporarily suspend new contributions, applications or payments for operational, financial, safety or legal reasons. Such a change does not delete financial operations already registered. The current version of these terms is published on LEMIO, and material changes apply from the stated effective version according to the existing legal-document versioning process.
