1. Operator and scope
LEMIO is operated by Express Buy OÜ, registry code 12907550, Paasiku 4, Tallinn, Estonia (“LEMIO”, “we”). These Terms govern access to the LEMIO website, accounts, animal-related listings, organization profiles, private messaging and related community features.
LEMIO is an online intermediary. It does not own the animals or other items described in user listings, does not act as seller, buyer, adopter, shelter, veterinarian, payment provider or delivery provider, and does not conclude transactions on behalf of users.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A person acting for an organization confirms that they are authorized to represent it. Use of LEMIO must comply with Estonian law and any law that mandatorily applies to the user or the relevant transaction.
3. Accounts
Registration information must be accurate and kept current. You are responsible for protecting your password and for activity performed through your account. Notify info@lemio.ee promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
One person must not use accounts to evade a restriction or moderation decision. LEMIO may require reasonable information needed to investigate security, impersonation or misuse.
4. Listings, organizations and messages
Users may publish only content they are entitled to publish. Listings must follow the Listing Rules; messages must follow the Messaging Rules; all activity must follow the Community Rules and Safety Guidelines. Organization profiles must identify a real organization and may be managed only by authorized users.
You remain responsible for the accuracy, legality and consequences of your content and communications. Public contact details should be limited to what is necessary. A home address must not be placed in public listing text.
5. User content
You retain rights in content you submit. You grant LEMIO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, format and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and promote the relevant LEMIO listing or service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for technical backups and records that must be retained lawfully.
Removing a private conversation from your interface does not remove it for the other participant. Conversations may be permanently deleted after both participants remove them or after the inactivity period described in the Messaging Rules, subject to any necessary report, investigation, safety, fraud-prevention or legal retention.
6. Moderation and illegal content
LEMIO may review, restrict, suspend, archive or remove content or accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these documents, protect users, comply with law or respond to a sufficiently substantiated notice. Measures will be proportionate to the circumstances where possible.
Illegal-content notices may be sent to info@lemio.ee. Include the exact URL or listing identifier, a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is alleged to be illegal, the relevant legal basis where reasonably identifiable, supporting information, your name and email, and a good-faith statement that the information is accurate and complete. A notice may omit the notifier’s name and email where the Digital Services Act permits that omission for specified offences.
Where electronic contact details are available, LEMIO will acknowledge receipt and communicate its decision on the reported content without undue delay. Notices are assessed diligently, objectively and proportionately, taking account of the information supplied and the rights and legitimate interests of all affected parties.
7. Moderation decisions and review
Where required by the Digital Services Act, an affected user will receive a clear statement of reasons for a restriction. Depending on the decision, it will identify the affected content or account, the principal facts and circumstances, whether automated means materially informed the decision, the applicable legal or contractual ground, and the available review options.
A user may request review by replying to the decision notice or writing to info@lemio.ee. The review will not rely solely on automated means. This review process does not limit any right to contact a competent authority, use a certified out-of-court dispute-settlement body where applicable, or bring proceedings before a competent court.
8. Dealings between users
Users decide whether and how to communicate, meet, transfer an animal, buy an item or obtain a service. LEMIO does not verify every identity, statement, animal, item or organization and does not guarantee that a listing is accurate or that a proposed transaction will be completed.
Consumer-law rights may depend on whether the provider is a trader or a private person. Users must identify their status honestly. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use LEMIO for fraud, unlawful trade, animal cruelty, harassment, threats, spam, malware, scraping that disrupts the service, infringement of third-party rights, evasion of safety controls, or publication of another person’s private data without a lawful basis.
10. Service operation
LEMIO may change technical features, perform maintenance or discontinue a feature. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We will not materially reduce users’ rights under an accepted version without publishing an updated version and, where appropriate, requesting renewed acceptance.
11. Intellectual property
LEMIO branding, interface design and operator-created content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer those rights. You may use the service through ordinary browsers and interfaces provided by LEMIO.
12. Responsibility
Each user is responsible for their own conduct, content and dealings. Express Buy OÜ is responsible for its own obligations under applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEMIO is not liable for user-provided information or agreements made solely between users. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using LEMIO and request account closure by contacting info@lemio.ee. LEMIO may restrict an account for a serious or repeated breach, a security risk, unlawful activity or a legal requirement. Where law and safety permit, the affected user will receive a reason and a way to request review.
14. Versions and changes
Each published legal package is assigned a version and effective date in LEMIO’s versioning records. Prior acceptance is recorded with the accepted version and timestamp. Material changes apply prospectively. Continued use alone will not be treated as acceptance where law requires an explicit action.
15. Law and disputes
The laws of the Republic of Estonia apply, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections of their country of residence. Parties should first contact info@lemio.ee. An eligible consumer may also contact the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee; either party may bring a matter before a competent court.

17. Listing limits and verification
Free use of listing features is subject to numerical limits determined by the listing owner type, verification status and any individual limit set by LEMIO. Creating an organization profile or selecting an organization type does not by itself grant increased limits.
LEMIO may request reasonable supporting information before approving a volunteer, breeder, organization or shelter. A public verification badge and increased free limits are available only after approval. LEMIO may reject, suspend or withdraw verification where the information cannot be confirmed, becomes inaccurate, or the account no longer meets the applicable requirements.
Exceeding an effective limit blocks the creation or reactivation of additional listings and the addition of excess images. Existing content is not automatically deleted merely because a limit is reduced. LEMIO may grant an individual numerical limit, including to a verified shelter. Limits may be changed prospectively with notice where required by these Terms or law.
Optional paid plans may be activated only where LEMIO provides a functioning order and payment process or through a clearly identified manual administrative assignment. A subscription applies to the selected personal or organization profile. Current prices, limits, eligible owner types and features are shown in the plan catalogue before activation and are governed by the Subscription Terms.
Verification and subscription are separate. A verification badge records completion of the applicable LEMIO verification process but does not guarantee an animal’s condition, product quality, listing accuracy or transaction safety.
