1. Intended use
LEMIO messaging allows registered users to discuss a specific listing with its owner or responsible user. It is not a public forum, emergency service, payment system or confidential professional channel.
2. Permitted communication
Messages should be relevant to the referenced listing and sent for a genuine inquiry, safety follow-up or arrangement between users. Be clear about whether you act privately or for an organization.
3. Prohibited communication
Do not send:
- threats, harassment, hate speech or sexual exploitation;
- spam, mass solicitation or unrelated advertising;
- fraud, phishing, malware or deceptive payment requests;
- unlawful offers or instructions;
- another person’s personal data without a lawful reason;
- content intended to facilitate animal cruelty or an unlawful transfer.
HTML and scripts are not permitted in message bodies. Technical length limits may apply.
4. Privacy and safety
Only participants should access a conversation through normal service permissions. Participants must not assume that messaging is end-to-end encrypted. Avoid sending identity documents, bank credentials, full home addresses or other information not needed for the interaction.
5. Records and moderation
Messages are stored so participants can use the feature and so LEMIO can maintain unread and conversation state. Express Buy OÜ does not routinely read private conversations, but may access relevant records where reasonably necessary to investigate a report, protect users, secure the service or comply with law.
6. Conversation deletion and retention
A participant may remove a conversation from their own interface. Removal by one participant does not remove the conversation or its messages from the other participant’s interface. If both participants remove the conversation, LEMIO may permanently delete the conversation, its messages and related participant state; after physical deletion, the conversation cannot be restored.
An inactive conversation is normally scheduled for automatic deletion after three months from its last message or other confirmed conversation activity. Physical deletion may be performed by a background process and therefore may not occur at the exact moment the period expires. A new message updates the activity date, starts a new three-month period and may restore the conversation to a recipient who previously removed it.
Retention may be extended while a report, dispute, moderation or legal investigation is open, while a legal hold applies, or where the records are temporarily necessary to prevent fraud, protect safety, establish or defend legal claims, or comply with law.
7. Enforcement
Users may report misuse to info@lemio.ee with the conversation and listing identifiers. LEMIO may restrict messaging or an account when proportionate. Where safety and law permit, the affected user may request review.
8. Emergencies
Do not rely on LEMIO messages for urgent animal welfare, crime or personal safety matters. Contact the appropriate emergency service, police, local authority, shelter or veterinarian.
